We are a team of specialists assessing underwriting risk and creating reinsurance solutions. We are responsible for the actuarial modelling of our incoming and outgoing reinsurance business and for the underlying methodology, development of pricing tools and implementation of the partial internal model. We assess and monitor natural catastrophe accumulation exposure and analyse the efficiency and adequacy of our retrocession protection.

Ivana Matoušková: We are a small team responsible for front desk management, office management and support to the Board.
Martina Lambert: The Marketing Officer is responsible for Communication and Marketing Function plans, coordinating and managing the Company's internal and external communication and media relations.
Ivana Lacová: The Investment Officer coordinates and secures investments, manages the capital investments and executes new capital measures.
The main task of our team is to cover all areas of IT solutions for the company - from analysis, development, implementation to management of our own proprietary and external IT systems.
We address the developing needs of the company and create IT solutions together with our colleagues from other departments and external IT providers.
The Controlling team is responsible for the data management in the company. We process and analyses data from the operating systems, prepare reports and presentations for the management, VIG holding and pubic authorities and are responsible for steering the business planning process.
Corporate Underwriting Team controls the Company’s underwriting risk profile. We are responsible for business planning, handling of underwriting referrals for complex and non-standard transactions and setting up the underwriting standards.
The Frankfurt branch office was opened in September 2017 to further strengthen VIG Re’s market presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Since then we have continuously grown our book and now underwrite a diversified non-life treaty portfolio. We closely cooperate with the headquarter in Prague to ensure a seamless process and superior service for our clients.
In November 2018 the branch office in Paris was opened to establish and develop our reinsurance business in France and Benelux. The local team of underwriters is responsible for the underwriting of all Property and Casualty treaty business in these countries and closely cooperates with the support functions in the Prague headquarter.
We are responsible for the origination and underwriting of the business. We identify new business opportunities, maintain and develop the business relationships with our customers and are responsible for the technical risk assessment.

The Reinsurance Accounting team is responsible for the technical accounting of the assumed and outgoing reinsurance contracts, including the reminiscence of due receivables. Accounting for reinsurance contracts is a complex process where you need to use logic and math and you need to enjoy having things in order and style.
On business administration side we lead a team of Assistant Underwriters and Business Administrators. Their main scope of duties is the administrative and analytical support of the market departments, assuring data quality, being an integral part of the market teams.
Our Claims team is responsible for the processing and management of large claims. In close cooperation with our underwriters and clients we record and update the claims records, make an inventory of unsolved claims and perform controlling functions in the area of claims handling.
We are ensuring that all the compliance risks and legal matters are properly managed with sufficient expertise and capacity. We make sure that VIG Re is conducting its business in full compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations that pertain to the reinsurance industry.
Risk Management Department creates, implements and communicates risk policies and processes for VIG Re to measure, control and report risks. Risk Management steers the Solvency Capital Requirement calculations and provides hand-on development of risk models involving market, credit and operational risk, assures controls are operating effectively, and provides research and analytical support.
HR Operations accompany the employees during entire lifecycle and career at VIG Re. We cover the recruitment process, on-boarding, benefits, appraisals, eventual off-boarding process and support employees with any HR-related topics.
Talent Development Officer is responsible for identifying talents in our Company and helping them to develop professionally. Talent Development Officer creates and implements the HR Strategy of VIG Re, develops concepts of career paths for all job families and manage the implementation of the professional development programs.
